Details

Just when you thought a stem couldn’t get any more burly and beautiful, Easton drops the Havoc 35. It's bigger and badder with a handlebar clamp diameter of 35 millimeters. The increased clamp diameter delivers more strength, stiffness and security than conventional 31.8 stems. This stem is fully CNC machined from a massive chunk of aluminum and features a host of clever designs like Easton's Top Lock Technology and Distributed Stress Technology to remove stress risers and eliminate rocking caused by floating faceplates. So go ahead, take the hard line, the Havoc has your back.

Stem angle and length measurement

Stem angle is one of the factors that determines handlebar height. A listed angle of 0 degrees actually provides a rise that is dependent on your bike’s head angle (see image).

Stem length is measured along the side of the stem from the center of the steerer to the center of the handlebar clamp (see diagram). Keep in mind that as a stem provides more rise, its effective length decreases. In the example above, if the +17 degree stem measures 135mm, it actually extends 108mm parallel to the ground.
